Participants will become familiar with the library's organization, open-access collections, reading rooms, and facilities designed to support the work of researchers, students, and academic staff. |
The highlight of the tour will be a visit to the Special Collections Reading Room, where participants will have the opportunity to view a selection of the Library's rare manuscripts and early printed books. These exceptional treasures include historical scientific works, atlases, maps, and publications documenting the development of European scholarship and intellectual heritage. The early printed books, dating from the 16th to the 18th centuries, illustrate the evolution of scientific thought, academic publishing, and the dissemination of knowledge during the Renaissance and the Enlightenment. As invaluable sources for the history of science and culture, these unique collections provide a fascinating insight into the foundations of modern research and represent an extraordinary part of Europe's academic heritage.

Wrocław Centre for Networking and Supercomputing (WCSS)
During the conference we offer a tour of the Wrocław Centre for Networking and Supercomputing to gain an insight into one of the most powerful high-performance computing centres in Poland. The tour will enable learning about the operational background of supercomputers used in science, industry, and advanced technologies. We will present the LEM supercomputer, one of the fastest in Europe and included in the TOP500 ranking of the most powerful supercomputers.
The participants will have the opportunity to have first-hand experience with advanced information technology infrastructure and with future-oriented technologies that are shaping contemporary science. The architecture of high-performance systems will be presented during the tour, with particular emphasis on the design of supercomputers, the principles of their operation, and the engineering challenges associated with designing and constructing machines of the highest performance.
The presentation of the ODRA5 quantum computer, based on superconducting technology, will be a key element of the tour.
The tour will include visits to the server rooms and facilities with the LEM and BEM supercomputers, as well as the ODRA5 quantum computer.
