The site of the Conference, Faculty of Chemistry of the University of Wrocław, is located within "Grunwaldzki Campus" of the University, on the bank of the Odra river. Conveniently located in the city centre, it has a large parking space - we will arrange a password to be told at the parking gate so that you can enter the parking lot.
Travel by air
The Wrocław Airport (WRO) offers an excellent range of connections to major European destinations, including Warsaw (WAW) through which the worldwide connections are accessible. The airport is linked to the city centre by bus no. 106 (to the Main Train Station).
Travel by train
Wrocław Main Station ("Wrocław Główny") is located less than 30 minutes' walk from the Faculty of Chemistry, with good connections to the Faculty by tram (tram no.2 direction "Biskupin", leave the tram at the stop "Katedra") or bus (no. 145 direction "Bartoszowice", no. 146 direction "Spółdzielcza") - in all cases the telltale sign to disembark is when the vehicle crosses a bridge. The international train services are, however, relatively limited - here is the official site of the national carrier: PKP or PolishTrains.
Travel by car
Wrocław is a large highway hub, where the following roads meet: A4/E40 highway (direction west: to Berlin, east: to Katowice, Kraków and ultimately border with Ukraine), S5 (express road to Poznań), S8 (express road to Warsaw, continuing south towards the Czech border). The "Grunwaldzki campus" is located in the "Pl. Grunwaldzki" neighborhood. When setting your GPS, please make sure that you are directed towards entrance gates from the Szczytnicka street or Benedykta Polaka street, from where you can enter the parking space (we will arrange for a password to be said to the parking service at the gate). Avoid turning right from the vicinity of the Grunwaldzki Bridge into the Fryderyka Joliot-Curie street itself - it is a narrow riverside street within the paid parking zone, without direct car access to the Faculty of Chemistry building.
Around the city
Wrocław centre is quite compact. The conference venue, located on the north bank of the Odra river, is just one intersection away from the Cathedral Island ("Ostrów Tumski") and half-an-hour walk from the Market Square ("Rynek"). Our local transportation system comprises trams ans buses, operating roughly from 5am to 11pm, and some night bus lines. Here is the website of the local transportation company:
